22. NVR-Gmail set up email alert
Set Email Alert,use Gmail for example.
Set at NVR system and Gmail.
Since the sender and receiver email could be the same,we use only one email here .
1、Save Motion Detection Setting & Enable “Send Email” on NVR system.
2. Enter into your mailbox, settings, enable “POP”/“IMAP”
3.Permit the use of less secure apps on Gmail.
4.Email Alert Settings on NVR system.
Right click mouse at NVR system.
Path:Main menu -- System -- Net Services -- select “Email” to setting.
After entering the E-Mail setup interface, you need to configure as following:
a) Enable: Check
b) SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
c) Port: The default is: 465
d) Need SSL:The server requires a secure connection: default (No need to choose), if you click 'Test' but shows failure, please hit on "√"e) User name: Your mail (eg: your Email is test123@hotmail.com then your user name is test123@hotmail.com)
f) Password: Enter your Email password
g) Sender : Enter your full Email address (the sender should be the same with user name, the best is to write mailbox’s full name)
h) Receiver: Enter your email to receive alarm messages (eg: dvrtest2017@hotmail.com)
i) Title: By default, but you can modify to your own theme.
NOTE: Setting the Extra Net mailbox need to ensure that the device can be connected to external networks; currently supporting mailbox type:126,163, gmail,l,sina, 139,156, QQ
Title: Avoid sensitive words like Alarm, Email with this title will go to spam easily.
We suggest to use gmail as sender and receiver.(cause other email may be not allow our DVR system to access it)
Click “OK” ,then click “Mail Testing”
Don't worry if the mail testing failed. This may effected by your local network, Just check your mailbox.
